Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III is a real-time strategy game developed by Relic Entertainment and released on April 27, 2017, with Mac and Linux versions ported by Feral Interactive. It is the third main entry in the series that began with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. The story centers on Acheron, a mysterious world where a catastrophic weapon has been found. Three armies converge on it: the Space Marines under Gabriel Angelos, the Orks of warlord Gorgutz and the Eldar led by the farseer Macha.
The campaign alternates missions between the three factions, so you learn each army's strengths as the story unfolds. Dawn of War III mixes large-scale base building and squad control with powerful elite units, collectible hero squads that bring their own abilities. Each faction also fields a towering super unit: the Imperial Knight, the Ork Gorkanaut and the Eldar Wraithknight.
