Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap is an action-adventure platformer developed by Lizardcube and published by Dotemu, released on PC on June 8, 2017. It is a remake of Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, the 1989 Sega Master System game, rebuilt with hand-drawn animation and a re-orchestrated soundtrack while keeping the original level design.
The premise is simple: the Meka-Dragon curses you into a half-human, half-lizard creature, and the only cure is the Salamander Cross. Each dragon you defeat changes your form again. Lizard-Man, Mouse-Man, Piranha-Man, Lion-Man and Hawk-Man each have their own abilities, such as climbing walls, swimming or flying, which open new paths through large, interconnected areas. You can play as the classic Hu-Man or the new Hu-Girl.
A standout feature is the option to switch between modern visuals and audio and the original 8-bit presentation at any time, even mid-game. Three difficulty levels make it approachable for newcomers and fans of retro Metroidvania design. A Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap CD key is a low-cost way to add this classic to your library; check our tips on buying cheap game keys safely first. More details are on the official Steam page.
