A Plague Tale: Requiem is a single-player action-adventure game developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, released on October 17, 2022. It continues the story of A Plague Tale: Innocence. After escaping their devastated homeland, Amicia and her younger brother Hugo travel far south to start a new life and find a way to control Hugo's curse. When his powers reawaken, rats flood back into their lives, and the siblings set out for a prophesied island that may hold a cure.
Requiem keeps the stealth-first structure of the original but gives you more ways to deal with enemies. Amicia now carries a crossbow alongside her sling, can craft alchemical ammunition on the fly and can push through encounters quietly, use the environment or fight openly. Hugo's growing powers let you sense enemies nearby and, in key moments, steer the rat swarms. Levels are wider than in the first game, with more routes through each area and new companions who bring their own abilities.
The A Plague Tale: Requiem CD key is for players who want a cinematic, linear story with tense stealth and a darker, larger-scale follow-up to Innocence. It holds a Metacritic score of 82 on PC. Store details are on the official Focus Entertainment game page.
Direct Sequel: The story picks up after Innocence and follows Amicia and Hugo as they move south in search of a cure for Hugo's curse.
Crossbow and Sling: Amicia adds a crossbow to her sling, giving her a lethal ranged option when stealth breaks down.
Playstyle-Based Skills: Skills unlock based on how you play, with separate progression for cautious stealth, aggressive combat and opportunistic use of tools and the environment.
Expanded Alchemy: Craft and combine alchemical mixtures such as Ignifer and Extinguis to light or put out fires, and tar to extend flames, then apply them to sling stones, crossbow bolts or thrown pots.
Hugo's Powers: Hugo can sense enemies through walls and, in set moments, control swarms of rats to clear a path.
Wider Levels: Larger areas offer multiple routes through each encounter, from sneaking past patrols to using rats and fire against soldiers.
Protector Pack DLC: The optional add-on adds the Red Damsel crossbow skin, 13 flowers for Amicia's hair from Innocence and an early pack of metal scraps and a tool for gear upgrades.
