LEGO City Undercover is an open-world action adventure developed by Traveller's Tales and published by TT Games. It first appeared on Wii U in 2013 and arrived on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on April 4, 2017. The PC release holds a Metascore of 80. Unlike most LEGO games, it is not based on a film franchise: it tells an original cop story set in a sprawling LEGO City.
You play as police officer Chase McCain, sent undercover to track down the notorious criminal Rex Fury after his escape from prison and to end his city-wide crime wave. The city spans more than 20 districts, filled with car thieves to bust, vehicles to drive and hundreds of collectibles. Chase picks up disguises that unlock new abilities, and the writing is packed with movie references and signature LEGO humor. The 2017 version adds two-player co-op, so a friend can join on the same screen.
It suits families, younger players and anyone who wants a light open-world game without violence. Fans of Traveller's Tales' other open-world LEGO titles, such as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, will feel at home. A LEGO City Undercover CD key often sells for a fraction of the launch price. More details are on the official LEGO City Undercover page.
