Rebel Transmute is a 2D action-platformer in the metroidvania style, developed by Fatal Fawn Games and published by JanduSoft. It released on PC via Steam on March 11, 2024. You play Moon Mikono, a space scrapper turned adventurer who travels to an alien planet to uncover the true fate of her missing mother.
The planet is an interconnected network of tunnels, caverns and research labs, with biomes such as the Overgrowth, the Coral Fissure and the crystal-strewn Surface. You fight with spells called Bloodcasts and a Foray-issued Blaster, and unlock traversal abilities like Spin Bash, Wall Jump and Void Dash to reach new areas. Optional augments change your build: you can fight alongside a reprogrammed drone, turn shots into spiraling lasers or summon tentacles that block projectiles. The game features more than 80 enemy types and over 10 bosses.
