Tropico 6 is a city-building and political strategy game developed by Limbic Entertainment and published by Kalypso Media. It released on PC on March 29, 2019. You return as El Presidente and guide your island nation through four eras, choosing whether to rule as a feared dictator or a peace-loving statesman.
The biggest change is scale. For the first time in the series you manage archipelagos of several islands, linking them with bridges, tunnels, buses, taxis and aerial cable cars. You can send agents on raids to steal world wonders like the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower, customize your palace, and give election speeches from its balcony. A reworked research system focuses on the political side of running the country, and online multiplayer supports up to four players in co-op or competitive sessions. If you started with the earlier Tropico 4, this sequel keeps the satire while adding far more systems.
A Tropico 6 CD key activates on Steam, where the game holds a Metacritic score of 78 and supports Windows, macOS, Linux and the Steam Workshop. Console versions are sold separately on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
