Unravel Two is a puzzle platformer developed by Swedish studio Coldwood Interactive and published by Electronic Arts. It launched in June 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, later reached Nintendo Switch, and arrived on Steam in June 2020. Where the first Unravel followed a single Yarny, the sequel is built around two of them, bound together by one strand of yarn.
You create your own Yarny, then guide the pair through landscapes and towns inspired by real Scandinavian locations. The thread between them is the core tool: one Yarny anchors while the other swings across a gap, climbs a ledge or pulls an object into place. As the story unfolds, the world shifts from cold and imposing to full of life, and the narrative explores friendship, doubt and fear through emotions that take shape as characters and monsters.
The game supports seamless local co-op, and a solo player can switch between both Yarnys at any moment. On Steam, Remote Play Together lets a friend join over the internet. If you want a charming platformer to share on the couch, an Unravel Two CD key is an affordable pick, and fans of two-player puzzle design should also look at It Takes Two, another EA-published co-op adventure. Two Yarnys, One Thread: Every puzzle is built for a tethered pair, so one Yarny can anchor, lift or swing while the other moves through the level.
