God Eater 3 is a hunting action RPG developed by Bandai Namco Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It released on PC through Steam and on PlayStation 4 in February 2019, with a Nintendo Switch version later that year. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by Aragami, monsters that consume everything in their path. In this entry, a new threat called the Ash spreads across the land, and you play as an Adaptive God Eater, a new type of fighter who can survive in the ash-covered wastes.
Each mission drops your squad into an arena to track and take down Aragami with a God Arc, a living weapon that works as a melee blade, a gun and a shield. God Eater 3 adds the dual-wield Biting Edge, the two-handed Heavy Moon and the long-range Ray Gun. Burst Arts turn ground, air and step attacks into stronger techniques, and the Dive dash lets you close distance fast. Ash Aragami can enter Burst Mode and use Devour Attacks, which raises the challenge. You fight with AI allies or join other players in online co-op, and the anime-style story follows your unit through its campaign.
