Expedition Zero is a single-player survival horror game developed by Enigmatic Machines and published by tinyBuild, released on Steam on March 24, 2022. It takes place in an anomaly zone in a northern forest, where a top-secret research expedition went wrong. The former research camp is abandoned and surrounded by a 50-meter wall, and something is hunting anyone who enters.
Your goal is to survive long enough to learn what happened and find a way out. You explore the corrupted forest and abandoned research facilities while managing scarce resources, extreme cold and snowstorms. A dreadful forest monster stalks you throughout, and you choose whether to run, hide or fight it, along with other corrupted creatures. Looted materials let you craft devices and modules for your mecha-suit, and you can set up safe points for brief rest between excursions. The story unfolds through what you uncover about the expedition and the experiment behind it.
