New Games This Week: Valor Mortis, Planet Zoo 2, Enshrouded 1.0 and Forza Horizon 6 on PS5 (October 13–19, 2026)

This is one of the busiest weeks of October 2026, and it shows in what players are searching for. Valor Mortis and Planet Zoo 2 both launch today, October 13. Enshrouded leaves Early Access on October 15, and Forza Horizon 6 PS5 pre-orders opened just days ago. Publishers are packing releases into October to stay clear of GTA 6 in November, so there is a lot to choose from. Below are the release dates, prices, editions and what to check before you buy a key for each one.

This Week's Releases at a Glance

1. Valor Mortis (Out Today)

Valor Mortis is a first-person action Soulslike from One More Level, the studio behind Ghostrunner. It is set in an alternate 19th-century Eastern Europe, where Napoleon's war has unleashed a supernatural plague. You play as William, a resurrected soldier of the Grande Armée fighting former comrades who have turned into undead monsters.

• Price: $39.99 for the Standard Edition. The studio cut it from the originally announced $49.99 because of the crowded fall schedule.

• Deluxe Edition ($59.99): Adds a major story DLC planned for 2027 plus cosmetic packs.

• Length: Roughly 20 hours for the main story.

• No pre-orders: The developer chose to sell it only from launch day, so you can read reviews first.

• Subscriptions: Full game on day one with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. PS Plus members get a 90-minute trial, and progress carries over if you buy.

Buying tip: On a brand-new release, key prices usually drop a little once more sellers list it. If you liked the studio's earlier work, you can also compare Ghostrunner key prices while you wait for Valor Mortis offers to settle.

2. Planet Zoo 2 (Out Today)

Frontier Developments' zoo management sequel arrives nearly seven years after the original. The two biggest additions are firsts for the series: fully aquatic species in custom aquariums and flying birds in walk-through aviaries.

• Price: $49.99 for the Standard Edition and $64.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

• Deluxe extras: Six additional animal species and exclusive animal signs.

• New endgame: Wildlife Reserves, where you release animals back into large natural habitats outside your zoo.

• Building: Four new scenery themes plus five returning themes, with ready-made blueprints or piece-by-piece construction.

• Platforms: PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on the same day, unlike the first game's delayed console release.

Buying tip: Check whether an offer is the Standard or Deluxe Edition, since the Deluxe animals are not in the base game. New to the series or want something cheaper? Compare original Planet Zoo prices. Full feature details are on the official Planet Zoo 2 announcement.

3. Enshrouded 1.0 (October 15)

Keen Games' voxel-based co-op survival RPG leaves Steam Early Access on Thursday after almost three years. You play as the Flameborn, exploring a large open world, crafting, fighting and building bases with friends. The game has already passed five million players in Early Access.

• Platforms: PC (Steam) and PlayStation 5, with PS5 Pro support. It is the game's first console release.

• Xbox: Delayed to spring 2027 so the team can focus on each version.

• Early Access owners: Your copy carries straight into 1.0, so there is nothing new to buy.

• Best for: Players who enjoy Valheim-style survival with deeper building and RPG combat.

Buying tip: Launch-week player spikes often come with publisher discounts and seller promotions. You can compare Enshrouded key prices now. Most PC keys activate on Steam.

4. Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Pre-Orders Are Open

Forza Horizon 6 launched on Xbox and PC in May 2026, and PlayStation owners finally have a date. Playground Games confirmed the PS5 version for January 26, 2027, which is later than the 2026 window Xbox had promised.

• Editions: Standard, Deluxe and Premium. Standard starts at $69.99.

• Early access: Premium Edition owners can play from January 21, 2027.

• First expansion: Launches January 21 on every platform, so Premium players get it on day one.

• Pre-order bonus: A pre-tuned Ferrari J50 for every PS5 pre-order.

• Account note: You must link a Microsoft account to your PSN account the first time you launch the game.

• Cross-platform: Crossplay and progress transfer work between PS5, Xbox and Steam.

Buying tip: PC and Xbox players do not need to wait. Compare Forza Horizon 6 key prices, or add the Premium Upgrade Bundle if you already own the base game and want the expansions. The PS5 edition breakdown is on Forza.net.

Coming Next Week: Mycopunk 1.0

Devolver's four-player co-op looter shooter leaves Early Access on October 20 and launches on PS5 and PS Plus Extra the same day. Read our full Mycopunk 1.0 release guide or compare Mycopunk prices.

Still Trending: Gears of War: E-Day

Last week's biggest launch is still one of the most searched games. Our Gears of War: E-Day launch guide covers review scores, editions and Game Pass access.

Also New on CDKeyCompares

Our October catalogue update covered the headline additions. These newer price pages also went live this week:

• Hotel Barcelona: a horror action game from Suda51 and SWERY.

• Overthrown: a medieval city-builder with chaotic physics.

• Asterigos: Curse of the Stars: a myth-inspired action RPG.

• Immortality: Sam Barlow's full-motion video mystery.

• Conarium: Lovecraftian first-person horror, a good warm-up for Halloween.

• Cities XXL: a classic large-scale city builder.

• Neo Cab: a narrative game about the last human cab driver in an automated city.

How to Buy New Releases Safely and Cheaply

• Match the platform: A Steam key will not work on PS5 or Xbox, and console codes are platform-specific.

• Check the region: Pick Global or your own region. Xbox codes are the strictest about this.

• Compare editions: A Deluxe Edition can be cheaper than the base game plus DLC bought later.

• Think about subscriptions: Valor Mortis is on Game Pass on day one, so subscribers may not need a key at all.

• Check the seller: Read our guide on how to buy cheap game keys safely before paying a new merchant.
